I feel that we should tax people on a curve the middle class will be taxed higher and the very high and very low will be taxed less. I feel this is fair because the poor have no money to give will only give a small amount and the rich who have tons of money but will still be paying more. The middle class will take a huge hit because we will tax them the most. The numbers I use are not exact for my plan but in one of the paragraphs in the debate link they had a 50% tax so I will be using numbers with in a five up or down range.

                I would tax the poor 10% that means if they make $1,000 a month they will only pay $100. This will make sure they have plenty of money to spend on themselves and we might cut some government programs because they now have so much money. If you think I am mean to the poor my family does not make a ton of money we are not very poor but we don’t have a ton also I get taxed about 17% or one sixth of my money goes to taxes. This lowers it on them allowing them to have more money and they will spend it on goods that are taxed so the government makes money anyways.

                The middle class will be taxed at about 20% this will make the middle class the largest class pay more making the government tons of money the middle class has money to give and money to spend and they must pay their fair share.

                The rich will be taxed around 15% this is higher than the poor so they give way more and the rich make so much money by taxing them at a lower percent they will still be paying tons more than the middle class. If they make $20,000,000 that is $3,000,000 that is a boat load more money than the middle class person makes a year and the rich will pay it. The reason they are taxed less than the middle class is because they will use their money to expand their business and crate higher paying jobs for people if the rich have money they will spend it on anything and everything. If they want more money they can expand their business and make even more money creating more revenue for the government.

                This is fair because the lower people save money and like I said some government programs will be cut the middle will pay out and the rich will make their money and expand and still paying way more money.

 

                I would like to say that what both of these men did was crime ageist humanity and there is no hell that can punish them for their crimes. If I had got to chosen what happened I would have had the Japanizes guy Dr. Shiro Ishii would have been executed firing squad style no trial. All of the soldiers that where involved in the Rape of Kanking would be put on trial for their crimes. I get that when capturing cities sometimes it is best to kill all of the soldiers and anyone else who opposes you but you do not need to attack civilians and you seriously do not need to rape everyone. The killing of the soldiers is all most understandable because they could cause trouble for the Japanize later. I am not cheering for the Japanizes but for them not to kill the soldiers could have been a huge mistake on their part if they would have revolted.

                The Japanize did way worse with the live dissections and stuff than the Germans. While what the Germans did was terrible and cannot be forgiven I do like that they had to pay for their crimes. Testing flamethrowers on people is wrong but how else is somebody going to test them on people they can’t just go out there and live fire test them and using trees will not get the same result as people because trees are extremely flammable and humans are full of water so we burn way differently. I cannot say anything possible about the pressure chambers and the spinning of people in the machines. There is no reason to test it with humans that can totally be like animals or something. I know some people say animals are people too but there is a huge difference between killing millions of people because you don’t like them and killing millions of cows so we can feed a growing population.

                The government could have punish the Japanize for everything I am glad that we punished the Germans.

Nixon is a very under rated president. While he had some faults he also had many achievements that are sadly over looked.  Nixon helped establish foreign relations witch allowed us to be friends with most of the world. Nixon also pulled the troops out of Vietnam. Nixon also created the Environmental Protection Agency or EPA. But do to his few failures most don’t see him as the great president that he was.

                One of Nixon’s greatest achievements has to be his foreign affairs policy. China had hated us and did not want us there and our people despised them for being communists. Nixon still felt that there was a chance for peace; he felt we could make them our friend. The greatest way to defeat your enemy is to make them your friend because you lose an enemy and gain an ally all at once. Nixon understood this and he used his friends. He used China to help convince the Russians to disarm some of their nuclear weapons. He also helped our relation with Israel. I see Israel as a very important country to support because if you fight it you fight the holy city of many different religions.  Israel is also a very powerful country militarily. He also prevented other countries from hating us. If he did not do this India could be our enemy right now.

                Back in the 60’s many people despised the Vietnam War and the longer it when on the more people hated it. Nixon was the president to get us out and that ended US involvement in the Vietnam War. Personally I feel that we should have finished what we started and not just quit. Yes many were dying, yes many were agents it, yes many were drafted and did not want to fight, yes we maybe did not have the most to gain but we did if to stop the fall of communism and we failed. All of the people who died now died just so we could quit not to stop the spread of communism. If a country asks for money to help rebuild we stop what we were doing and send them BILLIONS and any other thing they need. If a country needs military support than they are on their own until we are forced to get involved. The second we get involved everybody in the world changes their mind and tells us to get out. Even now if we don’t help other countries ask why we won’t help, but the second we do something they ask us what we are doing and why are we there.

                Nixon also cared about the environment. He cared about it so much that he created the EPA. The EPA prevents companies from dumping in bodies of water and polluting the air and just strait up littering. I don’t care much for the EPA but I find them necessary.

                In conclusion Nixon had a great foreign policy.  He got us out of Vietnam. He started the EPA protecting the environment. In short he was not that bad but because of his small mistakes he will not be known as a bad president,

So yesterday the government class to a trip to Pierre.  I learned a lot about the state government and how it is ran. I would love to go back there to talk on some issues. When we were listening to the state affairs committee meeting I wanted to go up to the desk and talk about the games in Dead Wood. I wanted to say that as a worker I can do what I want to do with my money because I worked hard for it and I don’t go to their houses and tell them what to do with their money, let people gamble if they want. When they talked about addiction of gaming I know addiction is hard and my Uncle went through drug addiction but he got over it through rehab and so can the gambling addiction. When we were at the House session and we tried to sit down this guy was all like “you can’t sit there” in a very rude manner. If he would have said you can take a seat next to that spot I would have thought it was ok but he did not so I found him very rude. Over all it was a very informative trip and I was glad we went. 

                Capitalism is the best way to run the economy. We need to have light control in the economy so businesses don’t run the lives of all the employees but they need to be able to grow and prosper. Social Darwinism needs to take its course and the weak will fall and the strong will dominate. I like that we have some socialist ideas like schools, libraries, fire fighters, and postal service. We also have all of these nice laws that make employers pay minimum wage, paid time off, overtime, and all of the environmental laws. I absolutely hate that we break up monopolies, if you take the time to build up your economic empire congress should not break it up. Microsoft was broken up years ago because it was a monopoly. The way it became a monopoly is by being so much better and more affordable than all the other companies. But all of the other companies cried and through a fit, saying we now don’t make money and we are going to have to fire all our employees and it is all Microsoft’s fault. It is not and the government needs to stay out of it. They also need to stop all of these bail outs, the company is failing for a reason and the government finds it necessary to save them so people can be employed. If they do nothing they will join the other company and be part of a successful business.

                Capitalism allows me as an individual to go out and start my own business and make all the money I want. If we did not have capitalism I would be unable to do this. Happy employees are productive employees if we were socialist and you did not get a say in what you will be when you grow up you may get a job you hate and you will not be happy with it and therefore be unmotivated and unhappy. But we have a capitalistic society where for the most part I can choose what I want to be when I grow up. There will be obstacles but by overcoming the obstacles I will become stronger and build character. The character I need to run my business and become wealthy. I had to EARN my wealth.

                Communism is the worst it makes it so no matter what you do, you will be paid equally. You work at McDonalds get paid like a doctor, you work as a garbage man get paid like a doctor, you work as a doctor get paid like a Wal-Mart employee. This means no matter what you do you will not make any more money so why should I try if I just get the same as anyone else why should I study had and get a good job when I can just fill the shelves at Target and make the same as the manager. Heck if we did not have a capitalistic society we would probably not have any of these great retailors. It would all be Gov-Mart and McGovement, that is what you would eat and that is where you would by stuff you would not have a choice because the government would not set up two businesses to compete ageist each other. Competition move businesses forward, businesses drive the economy forward, the economy drive capitalism forward proving that it is the very best economic system we have.           

Dear John Adams,

                I hear what you are saying but this is true with all forms of government. All countries rise and fall Greece gained power and fell than Rome gained power and fell fast forward Great Briton gained power and fell and we have gained power and one day we too will fall. Now you do not need to fall and have your once great empire be destroyed. Great Briton fell but it still holds lots of power. Many monarchies fell when the news of democracy reached their borders and eventually dominated their country. 

                One of the huge problems with democracy is that it takes too long to do anything. Democracy is a slow proses of debating, arguing, mudslinging, and voting while others are just one person or a small group deciding what to do. They can act in the moment while democracy everyone gets to talk and they can just ramble on and on and on so nothing gets accomplished. Everyone gets a voice and we must hear what they have to say or we just lost our democracy. In a Monarchy it is my way or you die so everything moves way faster because people want to live.

                If people are just voting in one party and they get say two-thirds than in our system they could do whatever they want and nobody can stop them because the one party has too much power. And  in our system if the two-thirds and the president are the same party it might as well be a aristocracy because only that group would be able to do anything. Their words would be law.

                Another problem is once one party dose something the next time the other party gets power they will just change it back. There is an old joke how many senators does it take to screw in a light bulb, two one to change it the other to change it back.

                Some people are given too much freedom and they want to be anarchists they can and they could gain power if people vote them in if they are voted in with enough power they could destroy the democracy from the inside out. Or if communists get in to power they can make our system communist. If the Nazis get power they could make us a fascist nation all because these groups abused our system and now they have the power to make the changes they want. 

                The constitution establishes a bicameral legislation so that it would favor both large and small states. It has worked since the 1300’s and many our forefathers that made this fine country where familiar with it. Like I said earlier it favored both states rather than just large or small states. Theoretically it is the best because you are able to apply it in real life. By being favored by all states, practical and being the best it is the best.

                I feel that it is good that we have a bicameral because it helps small states and limits the power of large states. The problem I have with a bicameral is that both the House and the Senate must agree to get anything done.  It is a slow process and if we want to get anything done we have to wait on both of them. By the time they get anything done many new problems start up and they can only solve one at a time but if there was one it would be faster but it would favor some states over others so I am happy with the way we have it.
