Splash wave after wave hits you in the face you can barely breathe and then splash another wave you feel as if it is all over this is it you will drown. All of a sudden a bright light shines in your eyes and people are demanding for you to talk this is just one of the horrors that people who are torched go through. This may sound horrible but if it will help keep the country safe I am for it. I feel that we need to get the information to save lives and if they won’t talk then we need to make them.

                I was surprised when I heard that the main ways we torcher people we just sleep deprive them and put them in a diaper. That is weak it needs to be hands on. If you do not do it personally that seams lazy and inhumane. Cutting off fingers or just beating him with a stick is the way to do it if you ask me

                This should not be a surprise but THE GOVERNMENT LOVES TO SPEAND MONEY. So if they spend 80 million on just two people this should not be a surprise, but to some people this is. Yes they did not come up with anything knew but congress people do the same and I don’t see people complaining about them. They are called unqualified but I feel that psychologists know the mind and how to work with it. I feel that qualifies you, we are after what is in the mind not just to cause physical/psychological pain.

                In the article I read on my own I was shocked to see that you need a doctor’s note to perform some torchers. I can see needing a doctor to keep him alive but that is it. As for the thing about making them stand on their broken legs I feel that is weak and in ineffective. That is my opinion on torcher and how we do it.

Amendment XXVIII

Proposed by Mitchell Holler

                In the course of three months after this amendment is ratified both male and female citizens, ages 18-25 will be required to sign up for selective service. This will only be used in times of war that demand for it as decided by congress. Congress has power to carry out and make laws on this issue as they see fit.

                I feel this is needed because some women say we are a sexist nation and this would make it fair because now we are treating both genders equal. Both genders can enter the army at free will so why can’t both be drafted. Women can be just as good at fighting and if they don’t want to fight there are plenty of peaceful jobs. These peaceful jobs include but are not limited to: Accountant, Civil Engineer, Computers, Engineer, HR, Management, Medical, Psychology, and Public/Foreign affairs and there are still more.

               

In class we watched the documentary Bowling for Columbine and it talked about gun rights, the media, and the Constitutional second amendment. The documentary was very informative on all three of these topics. It asked the major questions like why do Americans kill so many people, and how much gun rights should we have? All of this is very important; to why Columbine happened, why the media is negative, and what are the rules on our gun touting society.

                First do guns kill people or do people kill people? The answer is people kill people.  A gun can NOT load its self, aim its self, and fire its self. If guns killed people, than pencils spell words wrong and cars drive drunk. But that is the persons fault; people misspell words, people drive drunk, and people kill people. 

                Many things have been done to limit gun killings. Obama has gotten around congress to pass his new laws. The laws focus more on mental health then attacking guns. I like that this is the way they are doing it. A man crazy man with a hand gun is a million times worse than a sane person with a fully automatic. The crazy guy is unstable and may harm people, while the sane man can tell right from wrong and probably won’t cause any trouble.   

                `The second amendment gives the right to US citizens to bear arms. Gun control wants to take/limit this right. Many laws have been put in to place to limit our freedom. Some of these are Obama’s laws that he used his executive powers on. Because of this the future of gun rights hangs on by a thread. If we are responsible and don’t shot each other it will be okay, but if we continue killing each other things may get out of hand and we may lose are guns forever. Now you are saying they can’t do that but they can just add a new amendment that cancels the second. We canceled the 18^th with the 21^st we can do it again. 

                What we have done as a society is limit clip size and other stuff. At some big city schools they have police officers and metal detectors. There are cameras all over. On the Brooklyn Bridge alone there is a camera every 20 feet down the entire length of the bridge. But even with all of these some people took the flag on top and bleached it and put it back without being caught. 

                The media gets a bad rap for just being the media, but why? Well it is because it is all negative. It is pouring gasoline on the fire that is fear. I would not mind it being negative about 20% of the time otherwise you become blind to the world around you. Example is sex trafficking, I had not heard of it before this year. With a “clean” media I would never had heard about this. It is negative 95 % of the time. If a person kills them self then it will be on the news for a few days and the media will just say it could be you or someone close, and everyone panics. If a person donates a kiddy it may be reported.

                So that is our gun touting society wrapped up. People kill people,   Obama’s executive orders, the second amendment, gun control, and the media. People with guns need to be responsible. You can’t just run around shooting people.

                ISIL is a terrorist group located in the Middle East. ISIL stands for Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant so why are more and more Western people joining them?  Why are young kids in the Middle East joining? Why are many European and American teens? How does a small group turn into 30,000+ by beheading people? I will be looking into all of the factors and highlighting some main events.

                First let’s start with the kids, why are the joining, what makes ISIL so appealing? Ice-cream, ice-cream is used as a bait to lure impressionable kids to join them. Kids are very impressionable because their mind is still being molded and then ISIL makes changes, forcing the kids to thing the way they want it, much like a potter and his/her clay. By being lured and bribed with ice-cream and then having all of these ideas forced into their mind they become terror. They become ISIL.

                Now let’s talk about everyone’s favorite website Facebook. The media gets a bad rap for being bad and spreading propaganda, well there is some truth behind that. Facebook has over half a million people on their site on a daily basis, so spreading some propaganda over that just makes sense. Many companies make lots of money over it so many terrorist groups could get a lot of support from it.

                Many people from other countries are running to join the fight but they are fighting for ISIL. The Austrian girls who left are pregnant according to Wn.com. These girls have been recruiting people to ISIL by using social media. It has been a very effective campaign and has recruited many to ISIL. If just a few people and maybe a cool kid people will fallow and then then there is a snow ball effect and many people have joined ISIL.

                So it seems to be just people being tricked, brainwashed, and tiring to fit in. Ice-cream socials used to lure kids. Social networking was used as propaganda. Two girls from Austria that are now the face of ISIL are recruiting people by the hundreds. ISIL will continue to grow unless we do something NOW.

Last week in class we watched Lincoln and we were told to wright about if Lincoln and Obama abused their presidential powers. Abraham Lincoln is accused of suspending habeas corpus and freeing the slaves without state consent. Obama is accused of using his executive orders to much. So I will be putting them on a trial of my own. I will decide if Lincoln and Obama are innocent or guilty, the answer may surprise you. 

First is our 16^th president Abraham Lincoln, I feel that he had the power to end slavery in America. Why I think this is because I feel big decisions like this are best solved with the federal government. I believe in a strong federal government but states get their say in what happens on 98% of the issues. Ones that concern entire races should be for the federal government. If the states have too much power I feel we would be divided rather than united. States will just pass laws to be different because they can and then people will go there for that reason. An example of this is recreational use of marijuana. As long as you are in that state you can do it but put one baby toe over the line and you are in trouble. States around them now have to deal with people buying it over there and bringing it into their state where it is illegal and could buy and then later sell it at a higher price than paid, also illegal but that is everywhere. So I feel he did the RIGHT THING and HAD THE RIGHT.

In the part about habeas corpus I feel he did not have the right to suspend that. I believe in a fair trial for every man, woman, and child. I see why he did it but he did not have the right to do that. That is in the constitution he can’t do that so he can’t do it. The constitution talks about freedom so yes freeing the slaves was ok. Traitors need to be punished for their crimes agents this great country of ours.

Obama abused his power by banning guns I fell that is a state power but the federal government can say no huge weapons of destruction. What he has done it is almost impossible to get a gun and if you do ammo prices are through the roof. So I feel that Obama has abused his executive powers here.

Lastly I will be talking about if Obama abused his executive powers to spy on Americans. I don’t feel he abused his powers here because it is to keep us safe. If you are texting terroristic threats to people the government should be able to see that and stop you. When I text people it is just a “Hi” or “K” 50% of the time, and I don’t post on Facebook, and I don’t have a Twitter. I don’t care if the government reads mine because I am not worried about what I post. If some people are scared then they are probably trying to hide something. So Obama did not go too far here.
